How to include a generated link in Capsule CRM to Mediaburst.co.uk
Using two custom fields, you can set up Capsule to link to tracking or other external systems. This example is for Mediaburst HTTP API Integration:
To set up, click on Settings > Custom Fields for Cases, then:
- create a generated link field
The link includes the edited Mediaburst HTTP url which includes my Mediaburst username & password with {custom[mobilenumber]} and {custom[message]} text fields looking like this:

(You will need to put your own mediaburst username and password in the red areas).
- create a text field for the Mobile Number:
- then create a text field for the SMS text message:
IMPORTANT: The text field labels must match the same as the url. In this example, the text field was called “message” and the link definition had the following in it ={custom[message]} You can rename these, but they must match.
(Make sure when you edit the url you don’t miss a curly bracket you should always have an even amount left i.e count the brackets).
- It should look like the above if done correctly.
- You then find the customer you want to send an SMS, and click on Cases then click Add Case enter a name (can be anything I choose test) then click at the bottom where it says enter additional fields (mobilenumber, message).
- The two fields you created earlier will appear enter the customers mobile number (no spaces) and the text message you want to send bearing in mind character limit is 160 characters then click Save.
Capsule will now automatically display Go to MediaBurst SMS. Click on this and Capsule will send the SMS message to your customer. (By default the SMS originator will show as the mobile you first registered with at Medaburst but this can be changed to your company name for example to PCHealerLtd.
Once you click on ‘Go to MediaBurst SMS’ your message will be sent and you should get redirected to blank webpage with this on:
