Memory Installation

Need a hand installing some memory into your laptop or PC ?

If your computer or laptop is running slow often installing more memory will help, and it can be one of the cheapest and most cost effective upgrades you can do.

Windows will generally use as much memory as you can install (apart from older 32 bit operating systems/computers which have limitations).

If you buy the memory from us we will install it for free otherwise there will be an hourly labour charge.

Many of our customers get confused and rightly so when we talk about computer memory to them below is an explanation and photos of the two different types:

Computer memory (Random Access Memory) – This is the type that when installed will actively improve its performance.

Hard Disk (Non Volatile Memory)- This type is just for storage in general it will only ever slow your computer down if you have used up 99% of it.

Facts & Tips:

When installing memory into a computer you should use a anti static wrist band.
